The Athlete Factory offers professional baseball and softball
instruction year round.

Team up with one of our instructors on a regular basis to get the most out of your training! Using a uniform step-by-step teaching system, our instructors encourage positive progress even outside the facility. The Athlete Factory instructors are all talented and accomplished coaches with an extensive baseball or softball background.

Brad Enfield.jpg

Brad Enfield, Assistant Manager, Coach

Brad played baseball at Boonsboro High School where he was a 3 year varsity starter, graduating in 2013. He then played baseball for Funkstown Senior Legion where they won a state championship in 2013 and finished runner up in 2014. Brad then attended Hagerstown Community College where he received the Robert "Turtle" Smith Baseball Scholarship and earned second team All Region XX as a LHP. He currently plays semi-professional baseball for the Hagerstown Braves. Brad is available for lessons at The Athlete Factory in Frederick!


Joey Miller, Coach

Joey graduated from South Hagerstown High School, and continued his playing career at Frederick Community College. He then transferred to Concord University where he was player of the week several times, and was a finalist for the 2014 Tino Martinez NCAA Division II Player of the Year award. Since graduating college, Miller has signed 5 professional contracts. In his most recent season (2017), he played for the Windy City Thunderbolts (Frontier League) and was promoted to the Salina Stockade (American Association) before moving to the Roswell Invaders, where he put together another historical season and won the league batting title and was selected to his 2nd All-Start Game. Joey is available for hitting and fielding lessons at The Athlete Factory in Frederick!


Brett Strahin, Coach

Brett graduated from Brunswick High School in 2012 where he started every game catching for four years. He received MVAL first team honors his junior and senior years. He continued his baseball career at Frederick Community College. While at FCC, Brett also played semi-professional baseball for the Brunswick Orioles who went to the NABF World Series. Brett then went on to play on scholarship at West Virginia State University before graduating in 2017. Brett is available for catching, hitting, and fielding lessons!

Nick Hill, Coach

Nick Hill graduated from Clear Spring High School in 2012 where he was a stand out on the baseball diamond.  While receiving All-MVAL honors, Nick pitched and played short stop and third base.  After high school he continued his academic and athletic career at Eckerd College.  During his career at Eckerd he pitched for 2 years and then became an infielder.  In his senior season he posted a .391 Batting Average with 37 runs.  In 2016 Nick was selected in the 26th round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the San Francisco Giants as an outfielder.  Nick will be available for hitting and outfield lessons!


Tyler Shreve, Coach

Tyler joins the Athlete Factory for baseball pitching lesson after recently graduating from the University of Charleston.  During his time at UC, Tyler was a starting pitcher all four years.  His career ERA was 4.9, while pitching 232.2 innings, with 181 strikeouts.  Over the course of four years, Tyler started in 37 games, and had two saves in two opportunities.  In the 37 games started, he pitched 19 complete games while having three shut outs.  Call and schedule a pitching lesson with Tyler Shreve!


Claressa Mees, Coach

Claressa has many years of experience not only as a player, but also as a coach. She has coached Little League, travel teams, helped run camps, taught hitting and fielding, and mostly offered private pitching lessons. Claressa believes in the importance of teaching the proper mechanics, but most importantly teaching her athletes to have confidence and working on the mental aspect of the game as well. While pitching takes a lot of physical strength, it also includes the mental strength and learning those techniques will take the performance of a pitcher to the next level.

2013 Season - Freshman
As a freshman, Claressa appeared in 20 games as a pitcher, with 89.2 innings pitched. Mees proved her worth as she was second on the depth chart with 55 strikeouts. Offensively, Mees hit her first career homerun and finished with 4 RBIs on the season.

2014 Season - Sophomore
Claressa starred on the mound in her sophomore season, recording a 1.29 ERA and a 13-4 record in 23 appearances for the Falcons. She was named First Team All-Conference.

2015 Season - Junior
In her junior season, Claressa again put together a great year. She started 21 games on the mound and appeared in 4 more. She recorded a 2.16 ERA and a 16-4 record. She was named All-Commonwealth Pitcher of the Year and First Team All Commonwealth.
